After much feedback and a year of learning, your officers have worked very hard to improve the club for 2011. We have a new website with lots of great built in functions, better communication, more social events, more interactive meetings, meeting topics based on popular requests, cool new ringer t-shirts, and more weekly workouts. This hard work means nothing without your participation, so If you want to lead a group workout, come out and help at club functions, become a mentor to a new member, or just pay your dues and come out to meetings and club races it will only make this club stronger. We want to continue to grow and become better for our members and community. If you have any suggestions please free to send me a message: greg@atltri.com Club Meeting and Swim Clinic
Come join us May 5th at 7 PM for our meeting followed by a swim clinic at Mountain View Aquatic Center! We will have a short meeting followed by a coach led swim session. Mark your calendars and come out as it promises to be a great session. We will send an email with more details soon. |
May 1 - Roswell Cycling Festival
The Roswell Criterium provides spectators the opportunity to view top professional and amateur cyclists in a format that is often called the "most spectator-friendly" form of cycling. High speeds and challenging turns provide thrills for spectators and cyclists alike. www.roswellcriterium.com

| April 2011 Meeting Recap |
Congratulations to Cindi Rutledge our March 2011 Athlete of the Month! |
Our April meeting was held on April 7th, 2011 at Riverside Park. Amy Higginbotham made some general announcements about the new club survey and that membership fees were due. Cindi Rutledge was announced as Athlete of the Month for March. Read more about her accomplishments in the Athlete of the Month spotlight in the April newsletter. Amy welcomed and introduced our new members and visitors Tammy Clavy, George Rankin, Andrew Pomeroy, and Ryan Diehl. We were honored to have Brett Daniels, a Sport Factory coach and a founding member of NAMC, join us for our duathlon and transition clinic. Most members had never raced a duathlon and were very interested in the differences between how to prepare and race a duathlon versus a triathlon. Click on read more to read about the differences Brett went over. |
Anyone who has been to a Tuesday night ride with Cindi has seen her determination and focus on constant improvement. Cindi started doing triathlons in 2008 with a focus on weight loss. In the last three years she has completed 14 sprint triathlons, 2 Olympic triathlons, 2 adventure races, including the recent Tough Mudder, and 3 half marathons. Along the way she has dropped 93 pounds! Cindi completed her first full marathon this year in March at the Georgia Marathon in 5 hours 13 minutes! Cindi's next goal is to complete her first half ironman at Augusta 70.3. Congratulations Cindi and good luck at Augusta! |

Recognizing a need for a club serving endurance athletes on the North side of Atlanta, a small group of athletes formed the North Atlanta Multisport Club in January of 2006. |
After a great practice session at our April meeting, its time to look forward to our first club race- The Inaugural PT Solutions Cartersville Duathlon! We plan to be out there in force to support you with the club tent, banner, cowbell, and lots of noise! Come see us before and after the race. After the race we will enjoy some BBQ and fellowship at Williamson Brothers BBQ in Canton. Please let us know if you plan on joining us so we can get a BIG table!
April 17th - Williamson Brothers Lunch
The Tuesday Night Roswell Ride has officially begun. We had great rides the first two weeks! Every Tuesday we meet at 6pm. In addition to the traditional ride from the Community Activity Center at Roswell Area Park, we have also introduced a new beginner option that leaves from Riverside Dr. This new route is a great option for beginners who have never been on the road or in a group ride. For more information about either Tuesday Night Ride each week, click
We want to know what you want out of your triathlon club. Now you can tell us! NAMC has created a survey to help it determine exactly what athletes want in a local triathlon club. We want as many people as possible to take this survey, especially if you are a current member, used to be a member or you just thought our site was cool and wanted to find out more about us. We value your feedback and would appreciate it if you would take 3-5 minutes to complete the survey. The responses are anonymous and will only be used to help us create an even better experience for our members.
